Who Is James B. Walker & Co. Ltd.

James B. Walker & Co. Ltd. is a corporation licensed by the Canadian Federal Government as a Proposal Administrator / Licensed Insolvency Trustee to administer proposals and bankruptcies under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. 

We assume a number of roles as an Insolvency and Restructuring Professional. For example, we can act as a Licensed Administrator of a Consumer Proposal, a Licensed Insolvency Trustee, a Receiver, a Receiver and Manager, a Manager, or as an Agent for a secured creditor. 

The type of Personal Information we collect, use and disclose about a debtor can vary depending on our precise role, and our role can change over time.

What is Personal Information?

Any personally identifiable information about a person is considered Personal Information and will be treated according to this Privacy Policy.

Personal Information includes information related to personal characteristics. For example, a person’s gender, age, marital and family circumstance, household information, income, debts, home address or phone number, nature and cause of financial difficulties, health, disabilities, health conditions resulting in loss of income, or activities, views, and opinions expressed by an individual, and our opinion about the causes of financial difficulty and the alternatives available.

Personal Information is different from Business Information which is the name, title, business address and telephone number of an employee of an organization.

Business Information is not protected by privacy legislation.
